Spring 2008 Ball Mastery Program

NEW for 2008!

An 8 week technical program designed specifically to improve each player’s comfort level and proficiency with the ball.  Each player will recieve quality skill repetition and then apply to game-related situations with and without pressure.

Topics will focus on quality of first touch, dribbling and passing to maintian possession and beat pressure, use of fakes/individual skill and combination play to beat the last defender, improve repertoire of passing and receiving with all surfaces.

Players will be group based on age and ability.  Open to U9-U18.  Beginning Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11.

Thursday 4:30-5:30pm.  Huston Field.  Steve Campbell and Staff

Spring 2008 Agility Acceleration Program

Conducted by Alonzo Ruffin, Director of Accelerate Your Game

The program’s main objective will be to improve each player’s running mechanics, agility, change of direction, reaction, speed and overall endurance.

Monday’s starting April 7, 2008.  Murtaugh #2 (8 consecuitve sessions)

6-7:00pm U9-U13 players only

7-8:00pm U14-U18 players only

Spring 2008 Striker Program

An 8 week program designed specifically to work on technique and skill needed in and around the goal to improve each player’s goal scoring ability.

Tuesday’s 4:30-5:30pm.  Huston Field, U9-U13 players only.  Directed by Steve Campbell and staff.

Wednesday’s 4:30-5:30pm.  Huston Field, U14-U18 players only.  Directed by Pat Noel and staff.

Program will begin on Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9.

Spring 2008 Youth Development Clinic Ages U7-U9

Beginning Thursday, April 10 through May 29, 2008.  The clinic mixes skill and concept development and small-sided games.  Sessions conducted under the direction of Peter Kaminskas, Freestate Youth Development Coordinator.

Spring 2008 Mini-Kicker Program Ages U4-U6

New for 2008!  Freestate Soccer under the direction of Steve Campbell and Peter Kaminskas will offer an introductory clinic for children 4 to 6 years old starting Friday, April 11 for 6 consecutive weeks.  The curriculum will be a theme-games based approach to learning soccer in a fun environment.

• Freestate Youth Academy run by qualified youth trainers once each week for 8 weeks in the Fall and Spring.

• Winter Academy training at the SkateZone in Crofton, MD.

U-15 and Above
• Winter Indoor training times at Soccer Dome (4 sessions for Winter 2007).  Average hour rental at Indoor facilities in the State of Maryland is $100.

• QAS outdoor lighted training times (using portable lights with generators) in November and December for teams preparing for College Showcase tournaments.
